Weary Parent is hosting a summer reading list project for teens and tweens. I thought this was a GREAT idea, because I always have problems finding books for my 9 year old daughter, Liz. These are some of my daughter's favorites. The Animal Ark series by Ben M. Baglio. This is a great series for young animal lovers. Ages 8+. The American Girls Collection. Historical fiction for girls. Ages 8+. Young Women of Faith: Lily Series by Nancy Rue. Christian fiction centered around a 6th grade girl named Lily. Ages 8+.
